Requests to play in older age groups

2 Mar 2021 by Jack Kallarn

Please be advised that the expectation of the club is that all players must play in their assigned age groups as their primary team.

Any players wishing to play in an older age group as their primary team must make a formal written request by email to the Registrar at northerndistrictjuniortigers@gmail.com where a decision will be made in consultation with the committee and coaches of both age groups, taking into account the following considerations:

Player age

(Note: Players can only play up one age group and players more than two years younger must obtain an Age Dispensation approved by the league, i.e. a player in U13 who is younger than 13 years of age on or after 1 January that year, requires an Age Dispensation to play in U15).

Current developmental stage and future needs of the player

Current and estimated player numbers for both teams

Players are not to assume that they can play in the older age group and are to train with their assigned age group until they have been notified of the decision by the club or league, which ever applies.

Requests to play in the older age group on a week by week, fill in basis may be approved at the discretion of the coaches of both age groups, taking into account the above considerations.

Your understanding and cooperation in this matter is much appreciated and I apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause.

Kind Regards
